Back-to-Back Soccer Games At Red Bull Stadium This Weekend May 2023

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) fans are gearing up for what is expected to be a thrilling match between the Orlando Pride and the NJ / NY Gotham FC at the Red Bulls stadium in Harrison, New Jersey on Sunday, May 14, 2023, with a 5:30 p.m. start.

The Orlando Pride, currently ranked 10th in the NWSL standings, will be looking to secure a much-needed victory to improve its ranking. They have had a mixed season so far, with 2 wins, 4 losses, and 0 draws. The Orlando Pride is on a winning streak having won its last two games after losing four games in a row.

On the other hand, the NJ / NY Gotham FC currently sits in 4th place in the NWSL standings, having played 6 games, winning 4, drawing 0, and losing 2. The team has been in great form, with forward Lynn Williams leading the charge with her sixth goal of the season in last’s Saturday’s win over Chicago. Gotham FC will be looking to secure another victory to maintain their position in the standings and close the gap on the league leaders.

To the relief of some of the residents of the Town of Harrison and the delight of its fans,  NJ / NY Gotham FC announced plans to build its soccer stadium in Queens, NY. For now, it has been using the Red Bulls Arena as one of its home fields along with Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY. The team’s fans have been pushing Gotham management to build its stadium and it appears that may become a reality.  Maybe the fans can be patient and just lease the Red Bulls Stadium when its lease expires. The Town of Harrison owns the land on which the Red Bulls Stadium was built.

Many Harrison residents are not looking forward to back-to-back soccer games at the Red Bulls Arena this weekend, with NYC FC playing the New York Red Bulls at the stadium on Saturday, May 13, 2023. This means that the pitch will have seen a lot of action, and residents need to adjust their weekend schedules to avoid getting stuck in their homes or apartments and or requiring a police escort to get back to their homes.

In conclusion, the match between the Orlando Pride and the NJ / NY Gotham FC promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams eager to secure a victory. The Red Bulls stadium will undoubtedly provide an excellent backdrop for the match, and fans can look forward to a fantastic display of soccer. With the added excitement of the NJ / NY Gotham FC's plans to build its stadium, there is a lot to look forward to for soccer fans in the NWSL.
