Back to School Wednesday for Harrison Students

Harrison NJ Public Schools will open on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Early dismissal will be at 1:11 pm on the first three days of class (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). Teachers will return to school on Tuesday.

With back-to-school just around the corner, Harrison NJ is preparing for students to return by ensuring their safety. By opening up the schools on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with early dismissal for the first three days, teachers will have ample time to prepare their classrooms and lesson plans. This also gives students a chance to get back into the school routine gradually.

 It is not clear from the information available on the Board of Education website whether masks will be required of staff and/or students. It is also not clear whether Covid testing will be required of staff and/or students.

For Drivers, please give yourself additional time and drive carefully as excited students may not be paying full attention when crossing the street. To Parents, please teach your children to cross only at the intersections, with the green light, when a crossing guard is present cross at the direction of crossing guard, and when crossing guards are not present make eye contact with drivers before crossing the street.
