Canceled: Harrison Police National Night Out Tues. Aug. 6, 2024

The Harrison Police Department has announced that the scheduled National Night Out For Tues. August 6, 2024, has been Canceled Due to the rain forecasted for Tuesday evening. 

The Harrison Town Hall Mayor & Council meeting however will go forward as scheduled on Tues. August 6, 2024, starting at 6:15 p.m. on the Third Floor of the Harrison Town Hall. If you plan to attend the Harrison Mayor &  Council meeting, you can take the elevator to the third floor or the stairs. If sufficient persons brave the weather to attend the meeting, the meeting may be moved to the 2nd Floor Mayor & Council Chambers where Mayor & Council meetings used to be held (thus the room name) where there is more than adequate space to social distance.  The Third Floor Mayor's Conference room is a lot smaller and not conducive to social distancing.

The Harrison Police Department has advised that they will be rescheduling National Night Out for a future date and holding other Community Policing Events soon.  Before the National Night Out event, the Harrison Police Department's Community Policing Unit had held two prior Pizza With A Cop events as part of their community outreach. The weather at those events was Sunny & Hot and in need of a brief shower to cool things off.  Today's weather is going to be the exact opposite of the prior weather, thus the cancelation of the National Night Out Event.
