Hanukkah The Miracle of The Oil & Festival of Lights

As Hanukkah continues with the lighting of the menorah, we at Your Harrison wish to extend our warmest greetings to all those celebrating the Festival of Lights. May this season bring you and your loved ones abundant joy, light, and hope.

Central to the Hanukkah celebration is the miracle of the oil, where a single day’s worth of consecrated oil burned for eight days, symbolizing divine intervention and enduring hope.

This eight-day holiday is marked by the lighting of the menorah, one candle each night, until all eight flames shine brightly. Families gather to recite blessings, share stories, and enjoy traditional foods like latkes and sufganiyot. The holiday is also filled with the laughter of children spinning dreidels and the giving of gelt (coins or gifts), fostering a sense of togetherness and gratitude.
