Harrison 4th of July 2017 Celebration Family Fun at Library Park
Jul 04, 2022On June 30th we published an article Local Independence Day July 4th Fireworks which provided a listing of four neighboring towns that have 4th of July Fireworks.
In our article we noted that former Councilman Anselmo Millan had organized and had got fireworks as part of the multicultural Harrison Fest Street Fair years ago at Library Park.
It was noted by others that Anselmo Millan had in 2017 put together a 4th of July Celebration in Harrison at the Library Park. There was large inflatable play sets for the children to enjoy. There was patriotic face painting. There were food vendors from various local community organizations. There was entertainment from Andy the Clown, Michelle Galvis and a DJ.
The 4th of July 2017 Celebration was a very nice gathering to celebrate Independence Day. It is a reminder that the local events are important for those who do not go away for the 4th of July weekend.
The video is courtesy of Monica Miguens who was one of the Volunteers who worked to organize, coordinate, and make the 2017 4th of July Independence Day Celebration a success.
