The Mayor and Council of Harrison are scheduled to convene on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6:15 p.m. in the Third Floor Conference Room of the Harrison Town Hall. This meeting is expected to draw significant attention, as it marks the first time the governing body will meet since its last session on October 1, 2024.

A key feature of the agenda will be a public session, which will provide Harrison residents and stakeholders with a platform to ask questions, raise quality-of-life concerns, and discuss other issues impacting the community. This open session encourages residents to engage directly with town leadership, making their voices heard on topics affecting day-to-day life in Harrison. Additionally, community members are invited to share their thoughts on any items that may appear on the meeting's agenda, as well as on broader issues outside of the set agenda.

Currently, no agenda has been posted for the meeting, leading to some anticipation about the topics that will be addressed. The Mayor and Council are expected to cover a wide range of topics, especially given the seven-week gap since their last meeting.

It is also notable that the Harrison Redevelopment Agency and Harrison Zoning Board meetings, initially scheduled for this week, have both been canceled. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend this meeting, as it serves as an essential forum for public dialogue and community advocacy. Several residents have raised Quality of Life issues at prior Mayor & Council meetings which has resulted in positive changes in the community.  It also has resulted in promises to address the issue but no action by the administration.  Follow-up is a necessary component of the Harrison administration.
