Harrison Pumpkin Patch 2024 Brings Halloween Fun to Library Park
Oct 23, 2024This Saturday, October 26, 2024, Harrison is bringing Halloween fun to Library Park with its Harrison Pumpkin Patch event, held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 400 Block of Harrison Avenue, between South Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard and North 5th Street. Designed for children ages 12 and under, the event offers a seasonal blend of activities to kick off Halloween weekend.
Under the leadership of Councilman Laurence Bennett, Chairman of the event, the Harrison Mayor & Council have invited local families to celebrate Halloween. Children can pick their own pumpkins, enjoy a Halloween-themed goodie bag, and refresh with apples and juice. The day will also feature a lively costume parade where young attendees can showcase their Halloween costumes, with festive backdrops and friendly costumed characters on hand for memorable photo opportunities. It is recommended that you arrive early to set up for the Parade and to partake in the activities.
The Harrison Pumpkin Patch is a cherished addition for many local families, especially as the town has retired its traditional Halloween parade. The event offers an alternative emphasizing community and family-centered fun for Harrison’s youngest residents.
For those eager to keep the Halloween excitement going, neighboring Kearny will hold its annual Halloween Parade on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Kearny Avenue, kick off at the corner of Woodland Avenue, and continue past Kearny Town Hall. Located just two blocks from the Harrison border, the parade is a Halloween highlight, drawing families to enjoy the festivities.
Whether stopping by Harrison’s Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, joining Kearny’s Halloween parade on Sunday, or both, families can create seasonal memories and celebrate Halloween together.
For Adults, both the Harrison East Newark Elks and the Centro Romeu Cascaes Portuguese American Community Center are holding Halloween Parties on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Check out more details here.
