Harrison's Portuguese-American Community Celebrates International Woman's Day

The Centro Romeu Cascaes Portuguese American Community Center will be holding International Woman’s Day Dinner on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the  Community Center located at 14 So. Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. in Harrison NJ.  The dinner will cost $65.00 for Adults and $35.00 for Children (ages 6 to 13 yrs old).

International Woman’s Day is an annual celebration.  The annual event seeks to recognize and amplify the voices of women everywhere, while also advocating for their rights and achievements.  The event at the Portuguese Club is part of an international movement and seeks to recognize and honor the powerful perspectives and contributions that women bring to our lives and the community at large every single day.

At the event, there will be a presentation for the 2022 Scholarship recipients.

The Menu for the Dinner is as follows:  

Appetizers: Chourico / Sausage. Cod Fish Cakes. Portuguese Fried Chips.

Soup Cream of Asparagus.

Fillets of Fish stuffed with Spinach or

Shell steak with mushrooms.

Assorted Desserts

Water, Soda, House Wine, Sangria.

Other drinks will be available at Cash Bar.

DJ Nocas will provide music and entertainment for the event.
