HHS Athletic Hall of Fame Announce '25 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
Jan 29, 2025Harrison High School's esteemed Hall of Fame selection committee, led by Vice Principal and Athletic Director Sean Dolaghan, has officially announced the inductees for the 2025 Harrison High School (HHS) Athletic Hall of Fame. The annual banquet, which celebrates the exceptional achievements of its athletes, is set to take place at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover on Friday, May 4, 2025, starting at 6 p.m.
This year's cohort of Hall of Fame players and teams represents decades, showcasing the long-standing tradition of athletic excellence at Harrison High School. The inductees include standout athletes from various sports who have left a lasting legacy at HHS.
2025 Hall of Fame Players
- Gilbert Bragg Class of 1952 (Football, Basketball, Baseball) - Honored posthumously, Bragg was a three-sport athlete who exemplified leadership and skill.
- Ronald Rossmell, Class of 1968 (Basketball) - Known for his sharp shooting and strategic play on the court.
- John Palumbo, Class of 1972 (Football, Baseball) - A dual-sport athlete who dominated both the gridiron and the baseball diamond.
- Leo Bodossian, Class of 1975 (Soccer) - His outstanding contributions to the soccer team are still remembered by the school community.
- Vincent Ferriero, Class of 1981 (Basketball) - A key player who led his team to numerous victories with his exceptional scoring ability.
- Darryl Mulrenan, Class of 1984 (Basketball) - Renowned for his defensive prowess and leadership.
- Rocco Russomanno, Class of 1989 (Football) - A formidable presence on the football field, known for his resilience and strength.
- Lisa Villalta, Class of 1992 (Basketball) - She brought intensity and precision to the women's basketball team, setting several school records.
- Kimberly Cipriano, Class of 1997 (Basketball) - Her dynamic playmaking helped elevate the team's competitive edge.
- Brian McCauley, Class of 1997 (Basketball) - McCauley's strategic thinking and skillset were crucial to his team's success.
2025 Honored Teams
- 1972 Boys' Soccer State Champions - The 1972 team finished the season with a 13-2-4 record after being declared as the Group I co-champion with Jamesburg following a 1–1 tie after double overtime in the tournament final
- 1986 Girls' Basketball Group II Sectional & North Jersey Champions - Their remarkable journey under the tutelage of Hall of Fame Coach Jack Rodgers to the championship captured the hearts of fans and highlighted the strength of women's sports at HHS.
The HHS Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet celebrates past accomplishments and is a vital fundraiser for the organization. Proceeds from the event will help continue the tradition of honoring HHS star athletes and supporting the current athletic programs.
