Local Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremonies & Parades
May 21, 2022Memorial Day Weekend starts next Saturday with Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, 2022.
Here are Local Memorial Day Ceremonies and Parades which you can attend to thank United States Soldiers who gave the Supreme Sacrifice for our Country.
Harrison Memorial Day Tribute
The Harrison Post No. 282 American Legion and the Sgt. William Sawelson Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 340 will be holding a Memorial Day Tribute at the Veterans Memorial in the Franklin D. Roosevelt Park in Harrison on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 6 p.m. The Park is also known as the Library Park. The best approach to the event is from South Frank E. Rodgers Blvd by the Harrison Courts. The Public is encouraged and welcomed to attend.
East Newark Memorial Day Tribute
Mayor Dina Grilo will be hosting a Memorial Day Wreath Laying event on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the East Newark Borough Hall located at 34 Sherman Avenue in East Newark, NJ.
Kearny Memorial Day Parade
The Kearny United Veterans Organization will be holding it Memorial Day Parade in Kearny on Thursday, May 26, 2022. The Parade will kick off from Belgrove Drive and Locust Avenue (one block north of corner of Midland Avenue and Belgrove Drive) and proceed South on Belgrove Drive to Veterans Row between Bergen and Afton Street. There will be a detour going North at Bergen Avenue and road closures from side streets on Bergen Avenue due to the Parade between Bergen and Midland Avenue. The kickoff is at 7 p.m.
Nutley Memorial Day Parade
The Town of Nutley will hold a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30, 2022 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Nutley Memorial Day Parade route will be Chestnut Street to Passaic Avenue to Center Street to 300 Franklin Avenue.
Lyndhurst Memorial Day Parade
The Township of Lyndhurst under the direction of the Lyndhurst Veterans Alliance will be sponsoring a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30, 2022. Assembly for the Parade will beginning at 10:15 AM followed by 11 a.m. parade kick off.
The parade will assemble along Delafield and Valley Brook Avenues and will proceed North on Delafield Ave, right onto Second Ave, right onto Ridge Road, right onto Valley Brook Ave and right back on to Delafield Ave, where the parade will conclude.
