The neighboring borough the Mayor Dina Grilo and Borough Council of East Newark will be holding a Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the East Newark Borough Hall located at 34 Sherman Avenue, East Newark, New Jersey. The Public is welcome to attend.
In Kearny, the United Veterans Organizations of Kearny composed of the West Hudson Detachment Marine Corps League and the American Legion Post 99 of Kearny will be holding the 2023 Memorial Day Parade along Belgrove Drive in Kearny on Thursday, May 25, 2023 after the 7 p.m. dedication. Belgrove Drive will be closed starting at Bergen Street through Midland Avenue for the parade. Mayor Alberto Santos and the Kearny Town Council will be in attendance at the ceremony and parade.
In North Arlington, Memorial Day tribute will be held in front of the North Arlington Borough Hall located at 214 Ridge Road, North Arlington at 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Day Parade. There will be also Music, Food Truck and Ice Cream after the Parade. North Arlington Mayor Daniel A. Pronti stated “Our goal is to make the day both a memorable and enjoyable experience for all of our residents, while remembering our fallen troops,”
