Dear Residents of Harrison, NJ & Neighbors,

As we stand on the threshold of 2025, we, at Your Harrison, extend our heartfelt greetings to each of you. Amidst our challenges, let us still find space on our canvas for joy, health, and prosperity.

Good Health: In these trying times, we underscore the importance of health and well-being more than ever. May this year fortify your health, allowing you to cherish every moment fully.

Prosperity: We aim for a year in which, despite adversities, success crowns your efforts, and prosperity fills your homes, nurturing hope in every corner.

Peace: More than ever, may peace find its way into your hearts and homes, instilling a tranquil harmony that transcends the concerns at our doorstep.

Love and Friendship: Let the spirit of community be our beacon. May this year strengthen our bonds, fostering connections that fortify us against any storm.

Adventure and Growth: While navigating these complex times, we encourage personal growth and new experiences that enrich your journeys, reminding us of the resilience and potential within our community.

Unity and Vigilance: As we embrace 2025, we must carry forward not just the spirit of unity, but also a collective vigilance. The Black Cloud over the Town of Harrison remains the town’s administration’s support for EPA’s plans to handle toxic materials in our town necessitate a united front, ensuring transparency from the administration and safety for all. Let us remain engaged, informed, and active in shaping the future of Harrison.

Over 26 years ago, the late Mayor Raymond McDonough set forth a plan to turn contaminated industrial properties into residential and office properties.  The office did not materialize but the residential has transformed the southern end of the Town of Harrison into a vibrant residential community.

EPA’s plan threatens the community. Harrison’s current Mayor and long-time Chairman of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency James Fife and his friend and co-conspirator Councilman & Director of Personnel of Harrison Public Schools James Doran lying, concealing, defaming others telling the truth about EPA’s plan and now support of EPA’s Toxic Sludge plant and staging facility at the PSE&G is reprehensible.

Please join the fight to stop this ill-conceived plan to put a Toxic Sludge Plant across the street and down the block from residential communities and a major mass transit transportation hub.

We are wishing all of you a resilient, inspiring, and hopeful 2025. Together, we will address the challenges and emerge stronger.

With warm regards,

Your Harrison
