Red Bulls v. FC Cincinnati Sat. August 20th Reversible Bucket Hat Day

The New York Red Bulls v. FC Cincinnati Soccer Sat. August 20, 2022, at 6 p.m. at the Red Bulls Arena in Harrison NJ.  In the last three games between the Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati, the Red Bulls won one of three games with a 1-to-0 score.  The other two games between the teams resulted in a 1-to-1 tie and a 0-to-0 tie. 

One of the complaints of those that are used to NFL Football games and even Major League Baseball games is that soccer games are low scoring.  What some sports enthusiasts cannot grasp is that even a no goals scored game can be exciting because of the level of professional play on the field that resulted in spectacular plays that did not result in a score or near scores but a spectacular play by a defense person and/or a goalie.  That having been said, something is refreshing when a soccer game that goes back and forth with three or four goals on each side.

The FC Cincinnati team is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The FC Cincinnati franchise began its play in March of 2019 just a year before Covid 19 hit in March of 2020.  The club’s ownership group is owned by Carl H. Lindner III and Jeff Berding.  The club’s general manager is Chris Albright.

The FC Cincinnati team is used to playing in a large stadium as their home stadium, the TQL Stadium has 1,000 more seats than the Red Bulls Arena for a total of 26,000 seat capacity. It is also a soccer-specific venue which is a plus.
