Santa Claus Brings Holiday Cheer to Harrison, NJ 2024 (Video)

Dec 16, 2024

This past Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Town of Harrison experienced a festive visit from none other than Santa Claus himself. The jolly Santa Claus made his grand tour around town, delighting children and adults, thanks to a well-coordinated effort by the Harrison Police Department, Harrison Fire Department, and the Department of Public Works.

Santa's sleigh for the day was Harrison Fire Department’s Engine 2. It had the honor of carrying Santa as he greeted onlookers from the top of the Fire Engine throughout the town. His presence brought smiles and holiday spirit to all in attendance.

Those who missed the live appearance still have a chance to catch the excitement. Click on the video above to watch Santa’s tour and browse through the captivating photographs featured in this article.

Santa Claus Using Engine 2 As His Sleigh During His Visit to Harrison

The spirit of Christmas was palpable not just during Santa's visit but throughout the weekend in various locales in Harrison. On Saturday, the Riverbend District held a Festive Holiday Market at the Pocket Park on South 5th Street, which saw a large turnout of community members starting or continuing their holiday shopping and enjoying seasonal treats. Not to mention a Holiday Tree Lighting with their neighbors. Additionally, the Centro Romeu Cascaes Portuguese American Community Center (CRC) on the other end of town hosted a heartwarming Breakfast with Santa, where families gathered to dine, write letters to Santa, and walk away with a photo of the family with Santa. Imagine that an Old School Physical Photo. If you missed the CRC's Breakfast with Santa, you can attend the Harrison East Newark Elks Club Breakfast with Santa next Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Elks.
