Zoning is the Last Meeting Standing This Week
Nov 15, 2022The Town of Harrison had four town meetings scheduled this week but the only meeting not cancelled is the Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2022 which starts at 6:15 p.m. via Zoom. You can attended the meeting through this link. You can also use your phone to call in 646 876 9923 using Webinar ID: 851 3736 9718 and Passcode: 895723 to participate in the Public Session you need to utilize the "raise your hand" feature by pressing 9 on your telephone and online you need to hover over the bottom of your screen and click the "hand icon" to raise your hand.
There is one item on the Zoning Board of Adjustment Agenda is the following:
Calendar Item #312 — Application 317 William St., Harrison, Block 20, Lot 36.
The property currently consists of a two-family dwelling at the front of the property with a single one-story dwelling in the rear and as such constitutes a pre-existing nonconforming use. The applicant seeks to reconstruct the two-family dwelling which has major substantial defects at the foundation. The requested variances are existing in nature and the proposed reconstruction will promote the purposes of sound zoning by providing better safety and welfare for the subject property as well as improving the site aesthetically. It is not clear from the descriptions what Zoning variances the applicant is seeking with its application.
The other three town meetings, the Planning Board Meeting, Mayor & Council Meeting and the Harrison Redevelopment Agency Meeting were all canceled. The next scheduled meeting will be Harrison Redevelopment Meeting on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 1 p.m. via Zoom. The next Mayor & Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
