Harrison Avenue Building Stops Dump Truck

(February 2, 2022, Harrison NJ)  A Harrison Avenue building stopped a dump truck whose driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or a narcotic drug but not before taking out three parked vehicles.  The photo above taken by Karolina Espinoza and posted on Facebook showed the aftermath of the crash.  Although no injuries were reported, this incident could have been tragic if it had happened earlier or later as school children use Harrison Avenue is a major thoroughfare to and from school. 

The Harrison Police Department conducted an investigation and has charged the driver with the following: driving while intoxicated (DWi), Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, and under the influence of a drug without a prescription.
