NJ/NY Gotham FC take on Angel City FC Sun. August 28, 2022

Sunday, August 28, 2022, the NJ/NY Gotham FC team will be taking on the Angel City FC whose home is across the country in Los Angeles, California. Angel City FC joined the National Women’s Soccer League this year (2022).

Angel City FC is owned by several high-profile owners including Serena Williams, Mia Hamm, Natalie Portman, Becky G., and Eva Longoria.  The latter is only a fraction of the high-profile owners.You can read about owners and investors by following this link.

The team plays its home games at  Banc of California Stadium in Exposition Park near Downtown Los Angeles. Banc of California Stadium is also home to Los Angeles FC of Major League Soccer.

Tickets for the game are available through Ticketmaster. The game starts at 5 p.m. but arrive earlier for pre-game activities at the Red Bulls Arena.

It’s Angel City FC’s inaugural year but the team has added several experienced players to its roster.  This is not the first match between NJ/NY Gotham FC and Angel City FC.  The teams met on May 29, 2022, with Angel City FC having a home-field advance with the game being played at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.  Gotham won the game 1 to 0. Angel City FC looks to even the score at the Red Bulls Arena.
