Saturday July 2, 2022 at 7 pm: Red Bulls Arena Woman’s Soccer Game

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, the NJ/NY Gotham FC team will be taking on the Chicago Red Stars soccer team at the Red Bulls Arena in Harrison NJ.  The game has a 7 pm start so the impact on traffic should be manageable.

The Chicago Red Stars soccer team has founded in 2009 and played in the Women’s Professional Soccer league and the Women’s Premier Soccer League before the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) was founded in 2012. 

The Chicago Red Stars, like the New York Red Bulls, don’t have a stadium in the city that is part of their name but play their games just outside Chicago in Bridgeview, Illinois at the SeatGeek Stadium.  As you may already know, the New York Red Bulls Soccer Team plays its games outside of New York in Harrison, New Jersey. The Chicago Red Stars appeared in the NWSL’s playoffs from 2015 through 2021 which is the longest playoff streak of anyone in the league.
